Vilnius, March 3, 2026 — The Lithuanian Competition Council, together with the Lithuanian Bar Association and the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University, has invited participants to attend the conference “Competition Law Developments 2026,” scheduled to take place on March 20.
The annual event, which will be held for the fifth time, will bring together competition law professionals, academics, representatives of public institutions and business to discuss key issues in the field.
Competition Council Chair Jolanta Ivanauskienė will present insights on the authority’s activities over the past year and its priorities for the current year. Other experts from the authority will take part in discussions addressing whether there is room for competition in the defence sector, which has become a state priority in recent years, and examining the potential benefits and risks associated with non-compete agreements between businesses.
Another topic on the agenda will focus on the Competition Council’s supervision of corporate mergers.
The conference will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. at the conference hall of the Vilnius University Scholarly Communication and Information Centre in Vilnius. Participation in the event is free of charge, and interested participants are invited to register in advance.
