Vilnius, November 10, 2025 — The Lithuanian authority has opened a public consultation on a draft questionnaire designed to assess whether online platforms and search engines comply with EU Regulation (EU) 2019/1150, which governs online intermediation and search services.
The Competition Council (Konkurencijos taryba) invited stakeholders to submit feedback on the proposed checklist, which was prepared by its Internet Platforms and Trade Networks Investigation Group. The tool is intended to help officials identify potential noncompliance during planned inspections and to allow companies to self-assess their adherence to EU rules.
The questionnaire is divided into four sections:
- determining whether the regulation applies to a business,
- issues for online intermediation platforms,
- questions for search engines, and
- obligations for medium and large platforms that must maintain internal complaint-handling systems and provide a means to participate in out-of-court dispute mediation.
The authority seeks comments on the clarity and usability of the questions from companies that will complete the form during inspections. Submissions are open until December 8, 2025, via email at platformos@kt.gov.lt.
