The Turkish Competition Board has launched an investigation into Fakir Elektrikli Ev Aletleri Dış Ticaret AŞ (Fakir) and major electronics retailers Teknosa, Vatan Bilgisayar, and MediaMarkt. Following a preliminary inquiry, the Board found sufficient evidence to suspect Fakir of violating Article 4 of Act No. 4054 by controlling resale prices and restricting online sales. The decision, numbered 25-07/177-M(2) and taken on February 20, 2025, also includes an investigation into whether Teknosa, Vatan, and MediaMarkt engaged in anti-competitive information exchange through Fakir.
