The UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has launched an inquiry into Safran S.A.’s proposed acquisition of part of Collins Aerospace’s actuation and flight control business. Announced on 18 February 2025, the investigation will assess whether the deal could lead to a substantial lessening of competition in the aerospace sector.
The Phase 1 inquiry invites public comments until 4 March 2025. A decision is expected by 16 April 2025, though this timeline may be subject to change.
