Andrew N. Ferguson Appointed FTC Chairman, Emphasizes Pro-Competition Agenda

President Trump designated Andrew N. Ferguson as the new Chairman of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the agency has announced today (22 January).

Expressing his commitment to fostering economic growth, Ferguson stated, “Under the President’s leadership, we will end the previous administration’s assault on the American way of life and usher in a new Golden Age for American businesses, workers, and consumers.”

UK CMA’s chairman stepped down yesterday, as the UK government seeks more aggressively to pursue reducing regulatory burden to promote growth, as reported.
