CADE Launches 24th Edition of Competition Defense Journal

The Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) has released (11 December) the 24th edition of its Competition Defense Journal (RDC). Published biannually and highly regarded in Brazil’s legal field, the journal features ten articles exploring competition law.

Highlights include:

  • A groundbreaking analysis of Artificial Intelligence and collusion, examining how AI-driven decisions may facilitate anticompetitive practices.
  • Research on cartel detection in Brazil’s LPG resale market and anticompetitive risks in digital ecosystems.
  • Articles addressing CADE’s interaction with Brazil’s Open Financial System, constitutional issues related to its punitive powers, and the use of trusts in merger oversight.

CADE also invites year-round submissions of original research on competition law in Portuguese, English, French, or Spanish. The journal, available online for free, aims to promote knowledge and innovation in competition law.
