Brno, March 13, 2026 — The Czech Office for the Protection of Competition (ÚOHS) has carried out a series of unannounced inspections as part of investigations into suspected cartel agreements in several sectors.
According to the authority, the inspections were conducted in recent weeks across three separate cases involving possible anti-competitive conduct.
In the first case, investigators inspected the premises of two suppliers providing services to healthcare facilities. Another inspection targeted two companies operating in the construction sector, while a third investigation involved a company active in the information technology sector.
The authority said that during on-site inspections it seeks to verify initial suspicions of potential violations of competition law, including cartel agreements or abuse of a dominant position, and to collect evidence that may support such findings.
ÚOHS emphasized that conducting a dawn raid does not imply that companies have committed illegal conduct or that administrative proceedings will necessarily follow.
The investigations remain ongoing, and further steps will depend on the evidence gathered during the inspections.
