Croatian AZTN to Host Green Transition and Competition Forum On March 16

Zagreb, February 26, 2026 — The Croatian Competition Agency (AZTN), in cooperation with a Croatian daily business newspaper, Poslovni dnevnik, will host a roundtable titled “Green Transition and Competition – Regulatory Challenges, Market Rules and a Sustainable Economy” on March 16, 2026.

The event will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Hotel International in Zagreb.

Opening remarks will be delivered by Minister of Environmental Protection and Green Transition Marija Vučković and Mirta Kapural, President of the AZTN Council.

Speakers and Focus

Participants will include:

  • Martijn Snoep, Chair of the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets
  • Prof. Ana Đanić Čeko, Associate Professor of Administrative Law and Head of the Green Legal Clinic at the Faculty of Law, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek
  • Nataša Novaković, Croatian Employers’ Association
  • Nensi Šarić, attorney-at-law

The roundtable aims to foster expert discussion on regulatory challenges, market rules, and the role of competition in the context of the green transition and the development of a sustainable economy.

Particular emphasis will be placed on aligning competition policy objectives with climate and environmental policies, as well as on the role of regulators and market participants in implementing the green transition.

The event is open to experts from regulatory authorities, public institutions, businesses, the wider business community and other interested professionals, as well as members of the public. Registration is available via the event link.
