Slovakia Launches Monitoring of Commitments Imposed on Zľavomat in Abuse of Dominance Case

BRATISLAVA, February 25, 2026 – The Antimonopoly Office of the Slovak Republic (PMÚ) has called on businesses to cooperate in monitoring compliance with commitments undertaken by Slevomat.cz, s.r.o., which operates in Slovakia through the Zľavomat.sk portal.

In January 2024, the PMÚ adopted a commitments decision against the company in proceedings concerning a possible abuse of dominant position. Under that decision, Zľavomat voluntarily committed to amend its commercial terms and business practices so as not to restrict sellers from offering their goods and services through other online channels besides Zľavomat.sk.

The company also committed not to require that prices of goods and services offered on Zľavomat.sk be lower than or equal to prices offered directly through the sellers’ own distribution channels or on competing websites.

According to the decision, compliance with these commitments is to be ensured through the publication of contracts and general terms and conditions on the Zľavomat.sk website, as well as through ongoing monitoring by customers and competitors.

Pursuant to the Act on the Protection of Competition, the PMÚ is therefore inviting businesses—particularly former, current or potential customers of Zľavomat with experience regarding the implementation of these commitments—to share their experiences and submit relevant information to monitorzavazky@antimon.gov.sk by 31 March 2026.

The authority stated that, upon request, it will treat the identity of businesses providing information as confidential.
