Astana, January 13, 2026 — The Kazakh authority’s Almaty department identified signs that INVIVO Business may have abused a dominant position through restrictive franchise terms in the laboratory services market.
According to the authority, INVIVO Business, which holds a licence for the INVIVO brand, concluded franchise agreements with market participants that included clauses prohibiting cooperation with competitors for 24 months after termination of the contract.
The authority said the restrictions hindered the business activities of multiple companies operating in laboratory services across 16 cities.
Commitment and Outcome
INVIVO Business voluntarily complied with the authority’s notice and removed the competition-restricting provisions from its contracts.
The authority said the measures protected the rights of 143 market participants in the laboratory services sector.
