New Delhi, January 6, 2026 — The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has formed a prima facie view that the provisions of the Competition Act, 2002, may have been violated in Case No. 05 of 2025, and has ordered a formal investigation into the matter.
In an order dated January 6, the Commission directed its investigative arm, the Director General, to conduct a detailed probe into the alleged conduct. The CCI did not disclose further details on the parties involved or the nature of the suspected infringement at this stage.
The investigation will determine whether the conduct under review amounts to a breach of Indian competition law and whether enforcement action is warranted.
