Riyadh, December 1, 2025 — The Saudi General Authority for Competition is participating this week in the OECD Global Forum on Competition in Paris, where the authority is taking an active role in high-level discussions on market policy, digital developments, and sectoral regulation.

Forum Participation

Chief Executive Fahad bin Ibrahim Al-Shathri is leading the Saudi delegation from December 1–5. He is chairing a session on healthcare market dynamics, moderating a panel on healthcare markets, and delivering interventions on artificial intelligence, market behavior in informal sectors, and approaches to balancing policy priorities.

The authority will also hold bilateral meetings and contribute to OECD committee sessions throughout the week.

Broader Context

The authority said its participation reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen the Kingdom’s presence in global forums, deepen cooperation with international counterparts, and exchange experience on promoting fair and effective market environments in both traditional and digital sectors.

The engagement aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 objectives to support a diversified, competitive, and sustainable economy.
