Santiago, November 19, 2025 — Chile’s FNE will hold a workshop on its merger pre-notification system on Thursday, December 4, aiming to encourage wider use of the voluntary tool among parties planning concentration operations. The session will be led by the Mergers Division and is intended for users who may wish to clarify specific issues before formally notifying a deal.
Pre-notification is described by the FNE as a voluntary, informal, collaborative, and confidential stage in which parties contemplating a transaction can approach the Mergers Division with concrete questions, both on procedure and on substantive assessment, before submitting a formal notification. The authority positions the mechanism as a way to facilitate and smooth the review of concentration operations.
The event will take place at 11:00 in the FNE auditorium at Huérfanos 670, 9th floor, Santiago. Attendance is subject to prior registration by email to pre-notificacion@fne.gob.cl by December 3, 2025, at 12:00, and places are limited.
