US FTC Publishes Strategic Plan for 2026–2030

WASHINGTON, April 3, 2026 — The Federal Trade Commission has released its FY 2026–2030 Strategic Plan, outlining the agency’s priorities and performance goals for the next five years.

The document sets out the FTC’s mission, vision and strategic objectives, as well as metrics designed to track the agency’s progress in areas including competition enforcement, consumer protection and operational effectiveness.

According to the agency, the updated strategy was developed following an extensive internal review process and incorporates feedback received during a public consultation held in autumn 2025.

The Commission approved the plan by a 2–0 vote.

The strategic plan will serve as a roadmap for the FTC’s activities through 2030, guiding how the agency promotes competition in U.S. markets, protects consumers from unfair or deceptive practices, and carries out its enforcement and policy work.
