Buenos Aires, October 15, 2025 – The Argentine National Commission for the Defense of Competition (CNDC) will host the Latin American and Caribbean Competition Forum (FLACC) in 2026, the region’s leading policy platform jointly organized by the OECD and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
The 2026 forum, scheduled for October in Buenos Aires, will mark only the second time Argentina hosts the event. The CNDC will act as host agency and coordinator, bringing together authorities and experts to exchange experience and strengthen enforcement cooperation across the region.
Reinforcing Argentina’s Policy Agenda
The CNDC said the choice of Buenos Aires reflects recognition of its commitment to modern, effective, and internationally aligned policy frameworks. Hosting the forum is expected to raise the domestic profile of competition policy, foster institutional partnerships, and promote public awareness of fair-market benefits for growth and consumer welfare.
The announcement was made during the closing session of the 2025 FLACC in Asunción, Paraguay, by Frédéric Jenny, President of the FLACC and the OECD Global Forum on Competition, and Mario Umaña, Principal Competition Consultant at the IDB, in the presence of CNDC President Eduardo Montamat.
