May 20, 2025 — Turkey’s Competition Board has launched an investigation into Çamsan Entegre, Kastamonu Entegre, and Kronospan Orman Ürünleri, key players in the MDF and particleboard industry, over allegations of collusion during raw material procurement.
The probe follows a preliminary inquiry that found sufficient grounds to suspect a violation of Article 4 of the Competition Law (No. 4054), which prohibits anti-competitive agreements.
The investigation will examine whether the companies, along with the MDF and Particleboard Industrialists’ Association, restricted competition in the sector. The companies are active in the production and sale of wood-based products including MDF, particleboard, laminate flooring, and related materials.
