The French competition authority, Autorité de la concurrence, has launched (14 March) a public consultation on the role, status, and resources of monitoring trustees responsible for overseeing corrective measures in mergers that raise competition concerns.
The consultation aims to refine the framework governing trustees, who ensure compliance with structural and behavioral remedies imposed on merging companies. It seeks input from approved trustees, potential candidates, affected companies, and other stakeholders. Contributions may influence future regulatory updates or legislative proposals.
