The UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has cleared (31 January) the anticipated acquisition of Teads S.A. by Outbrain Inc. and the acquisition of a minority shareholding in Outbrain by Altice Teads S.A.
The merger inquiry, launched on 6 December 2024, proceeded through a Phase 1 review.
Following an invitation for public comments between 6–20 November 2024, the CMA announced its decision on 31 January 2025. The full text of the decision will be published soon.
