Hungarian NCA and OECD Host International Training for Judges

Budapest’s Regional Training Centre, jointly operated by the Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH) and the OECD, held its annual international judicial training on December 12–13, 2024. The session, funded by the European Commission, welcomed 32 judges from 19 countries to enhance their understanding of competition law enforcement, with a focus on cartel agreements.

Training Highlights

The two-day seminar covered key topics such as:

  • Economic Background of Cartels: Judges explored price-fixing, buyer cartels, and labour market collusion.
  • Public Procurement Collusion: Practical cases highlighted anti-competitive practices in public contracts.

Experts from the OECD, competition authorities, and private firms led the sessions, sharing insights and practical knowledge.
