The UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has invited (3 December) public comments on a potential merger under review, aiming to assess its impact on competition within UK markets. The CMA is examining whether the merger might lead to a significant lessening of competition under the Enterprise Act 2002.
This invitation to comment, open until 17 December 2024, is part of the CMA’s initial information-gathering phase. Interested parties are encouraged to submit written views regarding any competition concerns linked to the transaction. A formal investigation has not yet been launched.
