The National Institute for the Defense of Competition and Protection of Intellectual Property (Indecopi) has announced (2 December) it will evaluate the competitive conditions of services at the Port of Chancay.
This follows a study submitted by the National Port Authority (APN) at the request of Ositran, Peru’s transport regulator, as mandated by the National Port System Law’s regulations.
Indecopi’s Free Competition Commission will review the data to issue a technical and objective analysis in line with current legal frameworks. The evaluation will consider the specific conditions of Chancay Port and its potential interactions with other ports across the country.
The review underscores Indecopi’s commitment to ensuring fair competition in Peru’s port services sector.
