The Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCCS) has launched (26 November) a public consultation on the proposed acquisition of ZT Group Int’l, Inc. by Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD). The transaction involves AMD, a global semiconductor company, acquiring ZT, a U.S.-based original design manufacturer of server and storage solutions for data centres.
While the companies have no direct overlap in goods or services in Singapore, they maintain a supplier-customer relationship. CCCS is evaluating whether the acquisition could impact competition.
Public feedback is open until 5:00 PM on December 10, 2024. Submissions can be made online at CCCS’s form or via email at cccs_consultation@cccs.gov.sg.
