Poland’s UOKiK Reports €260 Million in Fines and 900 Decisions in 2025

WARSAW, April 30, 2026 — Poland’s competition authority, Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, has published its annual report for 2025, highlighting a year of intensive enforcement with 900 decisions issued and fines totalling 1.15 billion zloty (€260 million).

The report also estimates that the authority’s actions delivered at least 160 million zloty in benefits to consumers, reflecting compensation, refunds and improved market conditions.

Strong enforcement activity

UOKiK said the figures underscore its continued focus on tackling anti-competitive practices and consumer protection breaches across a range of sectors.

The nearly 900 decisions issued during the year span competition enforcement, consumer rights cases and regulatory actions, marking one of the authority’s most active periods.

Focus on consumer outcomes

In addition to penalties, the authority emphasised the tangible gains for consumers, including financial compensation and interventions aimed at improving pricing, transparency and market fairness.
