Bratislava, December 11, 2025 — The Slovak authority said its intervention prompted Ticketportal, Slovakia’s largest ticket seller, to change its terms and conditions by removing a ban on secondary sales of non-personalized tickets.
The Antimonopoly Office of the Slovak Republic said it concluded its investigation into Ticketportal in May, focusing on secondary ticket sales. During the review, Ticketportal proposed changes to its general terms and conditions and lifted restrictions on the resale of non-personalized tickets.
Concerns
The Slovak authority said Ticketportal also committed to removing restrictions tied to paper tickets with protective features once existing stocks were exhausted, an update it expected around October 2025. In November, Ticketportal told the authority it replaced the original hologram tickets in October with a new version that does not include the secondary-sales ban.
The authority said it welcomed Ticketportal’s rapid implementation of the measures, adding that the changes should support a more transparent ticket market.
