Riyadh, November 13, 2025 — The Saudi authority has introduced two new tools — a digital platform for reporting suspected violations and a competition compliance programme for businesses — as it concluded its Innovation in Competition initiative aimed at strengthening fair-market enforcement and supporting a more transparent business environment.
The closing ceremony, held at Misk City in Riyadh, brought together senior officials, including the chair of the authority’s board, Ahmed bin Abdulkarim Alkhulaifi; Abdullah bin Sharaf Alghamdi, President of the Saudi Data and AI Authority; the president of the Civil Aviation Authority, Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej; and the authority’s chief executive, Fahad bin Ibrahim Alshathri, alongside partner entities and programme participants.
New Digital Tools
During the event, the authority unveiled two new services. The first, Competition Eye, is an interactive digital platform enabling businesses and individuals to report suspected unlawful practices. The second is a competition compliance programme designed to raise awareness of competition rules and support firms in meeting their obligations.
Programme Outcomes
The authority reviewed key milestones of the Innovation in Competition programme, which began with internal workshops, expanded to multi-sector partner engagement, and culminated in the first competition-focused hackathon among international competition agencies. The hackathon generated several practical solutions aimed at supporting effective enforcement and strengthening market oversight.
Chief executive Al-Shethri said the programme reflects the authority’s commitment to fostering an environment that encourages creativity and supports the use of innovative tools in developing competition policy. He added that the authority will continue investing in initiatives combining innovation and institutional development as foundations for economic growth.
