Ukraine Grants Aquarius Group Extension to Pay $204K Bid-Rigging Fine

Kyiv, October 23, 2025 — The Ukrainian authority has granted Aquarius Group a 12-month extension to pay a UAH 8.54 million (approximately $204,405) fine imposed for bid-rigging violations concerning public tenders.

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) said the decision follows a request from Aquarius Group, which acknowledged the infringement and accepted the penalty amount but cited its financial position and insufficient liquidity as reasons it could not pay within the statutory period.

The fine was imposed under a September 25 decision finding that the company engaged in anticompetitive concerted practices that distorted the results of three public tenders.

The AMCU agreed to defer payment until September 30, 2026, noting that the authority supports the use of flexible compliance and mitigation tools in recognition of current economic pressures on businesses.
