French Authority Raids Company in Cancer Treatments Sector

Paris, September 24, 2025 — France’s competition watchdog, the Autorité de la concurrence, confirmed that its Investigation Services carried out an unannounced inspection this week at the premises of a company operating in the cancer treatments sector.

The inspection, conducted on September 23 with the authorization of a liberty and custody judge, follows suspicions of potential anticompetitive practices. While the regulator did not name the company involved, it said the action is part of its mandate to ensure fair competition in sensitive and high-stakes industries such as healthcare.

The Autorité stressed that the raid does not imply guilt, noting that “Such an inspection does not prejudge the guilt of the company concerned by the alleged practices, which can only be established following an investigation,” the watchdog said in a statement.

The regulator declined to provide further details about the company or the practices under scrutiny, citing the confidentiality of ongoing proceedings.
