Turkish Competition Authority Opens Investigation into Ayca Süt Ürünleri

Ankara, 27 August 2025 — The Turkish Competition Board has launched a full investigation into Ayca Süt Ürünleri AŞ (Ayca Süt), a dairy producer, over allegations that it imposed anti-competitive restrictions on its dealers.

According to the Board’s announcement, the case stems from claims that Ayca Süt violated Article 4 of the Law No. 4054 on the Protection of Competition by fixing resale prices, limiting territories and customer groups for its buyers, and enforcing an indefinite non-compete obligation on dealers.

After reviewing evidence and conducting a preliminary inquiry, the Board concluded on 7 August 2025 that the findings were “significant and sufficient” to warrant further scrutiny. The decision to open proceedings was registered under case number 25-29/687-M.

The investigation will examine whether Ayca Süt’s practices restricted competition in the dairy market and potentially harmed both consumers and business partners. If the company is found to have breached competition law, it could face significant administrative fines.

Ayca Süt, a well-known brand in Turkey’s dairy sector, has not yet publicly commented on the investigation.
