Slovak Antimonopoly Office Launches Proceedings Over Inspection Obstruction

July 8, 2025 – Bratislava
The Slovak Antimonopoly Office (AMO) has opened administrative proceedings against a business owner who refused to cooperate during a surprise inspection on June 10–11, 2025.

The entrepreneur, active in the HVAC services sector, repeatedly declined to hand over a mobile phone despite multiple requests and official warnings. The AMO stressed that mobile devices often contain key evidence of anti-competitive conduct and must be made available during inspections.

Failure to cooperate may result in a fine of up to 1% of annual turnover.
