May 21, 2025 – Helsinki – The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (FCCA) has launched an investigation into potential anti-competitive practices in the asphalt sector, confirming that inspections were recently carried out at the premises of several companies operating in the market.
The inspections, conducted under the Finnish Competition Act, aim to determine whether the companies engaged in prohibited forms of cooperation that could harm competition. The FCCA emphasized that these inspections are preliminary steps and do not imply that any of the companies involved have broken the law.
The authority will issue its findings after completing its investigation but has stated that no further details will be released while the matter is ongoing.
