Nobel Laureate Jean Tirole to Discuss Digital Platform Regulation at CADE Seminar

May 7, 2025 — Professor Jean Tirole, Nobel Prize winner in Economics, will deliver a lecture on May 15 at the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) seminar, focusing on the regulation of digital platforms. Tirole, renowned for his work on market power and regulation, will discuss his latest research, including his working paper Fair Gatekeeping in Digital Ecosystems.

The event is part of CADE’s Economics & Competition Defense seminars, aimed at fostering discussions on competition law and economic regulation. The seminar, held in partnership with CADE’s International Advisory Office, will take place online via Zoom at 9:30 AM. Participants must register by May 13 to attend and will receive a certificate of participation.
