The Lithuanian Competition Council has initiated enforcement measures to collect unpaid fines from three companies—Giantera, Eko 123, and Opera Pharmacy—for engaging in an anti-competitive agreement. The companies failed to pay their penalties, totaling EUR 412,350, by the February 14, 2025, deadline.
The fines were imposed in November 2024 after the Council found Giantera and its distributors guilty of restricting price competition for Dr. Ohhira brand products. While 12 violators complied, these three firms did not, prompting the Council to involve bailiffs for forced recovery.
A 6% annual interest penalty will continue to accrue on the unpaid fines for up to 180 days. The Council’s enforcement decision is final and cannot be appealed.
