On January 30 and 31, the Luxembourg Competition Authority, supported by judicial police, conducted surprise inspections at several insurance companies suspected of engaging in anti-competitive practices, the agency has announced (3 February).
These inspections are a preliminary step in the investigation and do not imply guilt. The authority emphasizes the presumption of innocence and will not disclose the names of the firms involved or the specific practices under scrutiny.
This announcement aims to ensure transparency and inform other companies about their equal access to the leniency program.
