Jakarta, January 31, 2025 – The Indonesian Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) has published full text of the decision to impose a fine of IDR 202.5 billion on Google LLC for alleged violations of Law Number 5 of 1999 related to the enforcement of the Google Play Billing System.
This fine, imposed on 21 January, marks the largest fine ever imposed by KPPU in its history.
The fine surpasses the previous record of IDR 170 billion in a 2016 case involving an imported beef cartel in Jabodetabek. The 604-page KPPU ruling has been officially published on the website putusan.kppu.go.id.
