The Gambia Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (GCCPC) has concluded (14 January) an investigation into price hikes and supply shortages in the Normal Saline (Sodium Chloride 0.9%) market.
The probe, initiated under the Competition Act 2007, uncovered potential anti-competitive practices by wholesalers and retailers.
To address the findings, the GCCPC has scheduled a public hearing on January 29, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM at the Consumer Protection Tribunal, Futurelec Building, Kotu.
