The European Union officially launched a 27-month twinning project on December 17 in Chișinău to support Moldova’s Competition Council. Implemented by competition authorities from Romania, Lithuania, and Poland, the project aims to strengthen the institutional and administrative capacity of the Moldovan Competition Council.
The initiative will help align Moldova’s competition and state aid policies with EU standards, providing expertise and best practices to support the country’s integration into the European Union.

- Julda Kielyte, Head of the EU Delegation’s Team for Competitive and Inclusive Growth, described the project as a vital opportunity for Moldova to adopt EU competition standards.
