Polish UOKiK Collaborates with Kenya on AI, Consumer Protection

Experts from Poland’s Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) visited the Competition Authority of Kenya (CAK) in Nairobi as part of the Polish Aid program. The five-day workshops, held from November 25-29, 2024, focused on topics such as artificial intelligence, dark patterns, unsafe products, consumer education, and communication strategies, the agency announced on 11 December.

This marks the second visit under the program, following a visit by the Kenyan delegation to UOKiK in September. The collaboration aims to strengthen Kenya’s consumer protection system, with the support of Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and various government bodies. The shared experiences are expected to enhance the day-to-day operations of Kenya’s competition authority.
