CADE and ESMPU Host Seminar on Digital Market Competition and Regulation (18, 19 November)

The Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE), in collaboration with the Higher School of the Public Prosecutor’s Office (ESMPU), will host the International Seminar: Regulation and Competition in the Digital Market 2024. Set for November 18 and 19, the seminar will feature insights from CADE President Alexandre Cordeiro, Attorney General Paulo Gonet, and a range of industry experts, and will be broadcast live on CADE’s YouTube channel.

The event will focus on the challenges and regulatory aspects of competition in the digital economy, with a spotlight on financial regulations impacting digital payment systems established under Law No. 12,865/2013. Key topics will include the dynamics of digital competition, the role of artificial intelligence, and emerging concerns such as market concentration and “killer acquisitions.”
