TCA’s Agricultural Scrutiny Gains New Momentum with May-Agro Probe

ANKARA, 29 January 2026 – The Turkish Competition Authority has launched a formal investigation into May-Agro Tohumculuk, a company active in the production and sale of sunflower, corn, cotton, sweet corn, bean, industrial tomato, and spinach seeds.

The investigation targets allegations that May-Agro determined the resale prices of its dealers and restricted their sales territories or customer base.

Notably, May-Agro was already within the scope of two separate ongoing investigations: one targeting the field crops seeds sector and another directed at the agricultural chemicals and seed sector. This new probe confirms that the TCA’s scrutiny of the agricultural industry continues at full speed.
