Bosnia’s Regulator, AmCham Partner to Strengthen Antitrust Compliance

Sarajevo, September 22, 2025 — The Competition Council (CC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina has signed a cooperation agreement with the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham BiH) to strengthen enforcement of market competition rules in the country.

The agreement, signed by Competition Council President Ninela Salihbašić and AmCham BiH Director Nedim Hamzić, establishes a framework for joint efforts to promote competitive market practices, prevent abuses of dominant position, and provide businesses with practical compliance guidance.

Under the accord, the two institutions will work together to explain the role and activities of the CC to the broader business community, promote rules, measures, and procedures for protecting market competition, raise corporate awareness of market abuses, risks, and protection mechanisms, and guide to help companies avoid infringements of competition law.

Following the signing, officials held discussions on current economic challenges and outlined plans for future joint initiatives aimed at building a culture of compliance and transparency in the local market.
