2 July 2025 — Following a preliminary inquiry, Turkey’s Competition Board has opened a formal investigation into several companies and industry associations in the agricultural pesticide and seed markets. The probe concerns alleged anticompetitive practices, including the exchange of competitively sensitive information and no-poach agreements affecting the labor market.
The investigation targets major players such as Adama Turkey, BASF Türk, Bayer, Corteva Turkey, FMC Turkey, KWS Türk, Limagrain, May-Agro, Monsanto Turkey, Polen Tohumculuk, Syngenta, and related trade associations. The Board seeks to determine whether these entities violated Article 4 of the Competition Act No. 4054.
