Ankara, 10 June 2025 — The Turkish Competition Board has launched a fresh investigation into Coca-Cola Satış ve Dağıtım AŞ (CCSD) over allegations that it imposed exclusivity arrangements on retail outlets and obstructed competitors’ access to sales points—potential violations of Law No. 4054 on the Protection of Competition.
The Board reviewed documents and findings from a preliminary inquiry and, during its 22 April 2025 meeting, determined that there was sufficient evidence to proceed. The investigation was officially opened under decision number 25-20/476-M.
This is not the first time CCSD has faced scrutiny. In 2021, the Competition Board had previously examined similar concerns and closed that case after accepting a commitments package from the company aimed at remedying anti-competitive concerns.
The new investigation will assess whether CCSD has upheld those commitments and whether its market behavior continues to restrict fair competition in Turkey’s beverage distribution sector. If violations are found, the company could face significant fines and further regulatory action.
